CITY, DESTRUCTION, LIFE
“Is it right to blindly destroy the original things in the name of urban redevelopment?”
“Is it right to blindly destroy the original things in the name of urban redevelopment?”

First, due to surbanization, many people come to city for some reasons such as job, infra, etc. However, the price of the developed city is too expansive for some low income people, so they cannot afford to move to the center, they find undeveloped area in the city. But, as part of the urban project to beutifuliese the aesthetics of the city, improving land use efficiency and restoring residential and urban functions, government plan to redevelop to revitalize underdeveloped areas.
So, as name of urban redevelopment, many undeveloped part in the city are all destroyed and newly built. When redevelopment begins, people who lived in the area have the right to sell apartments, in proportion to the size of their buildings and land. However, even if they have the right to sell, the market price after the apartment is too expensive, so they cannot afford the difference except for the right for sell. In addition, relatively low-income people have to loan some more money but, the gap between is too big to deal, so they cannot afford. According to research, the “re-entry rate” of natives in redevelopment areas is less than a half.
In addition, natives living in undeveloped districts lose their space. They have thrown out from that area, and they have to migrate to another city. So I finalized my idea as local migration with my topic <Traces of life>.
